SnapNDrag FAQ
Why can’t SnapNDrag capture Netflix, Apple TV, or other protected video?
These services use Digital Rights Management (DRM) to prevent their video content from being captured. macOS enforces this restriction, so SnapNDrag cannot capture DRM-protected video.
Why does my screenshot show the desktop wallpaper instead of the screen content?
SnapNDrag requires macOS’s Screen Recording permission to capture screenshots. Apple requires this permission for screen-capture apps; it is not specific to SnapNDrag.
If SnapNDrag is unable to take screenshots:
- Open System Settings.
- Go to Privacy & Security → Screen Recording. On newer macOS versions, this may be called Screen & System Audio Recording.
- Make sure SnapNDrag is enabled.
- If you just enabled it, quit SnapNDrag completely and launch it again.
If SnapNDrag does not appear in the list, or enabling it does not help:
- Turn SnapNDrag off, if it is listed.
- Remove SnapNDrag from the Screen Recording list, if possible.
- Quit SnapNDrag.
- Launch SnapNDrag again and try taking a screenshot.
- When macOS asks for Screen Recording permission again, click Allow.
